Welcome to my website. Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to update the site since I graduated and therefore a lot of wonderful projects are not up for viewing.
The Profession of Architecture is of a visual nature. Words
alone can not express and explain the qualities of a project;
drawings, models and pictures are needed. This website is
the culmination of the work done by Sam Feigenbaum and serves
as my digital portfolio in the field of Architecture.
I have recently graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor
of Architecture form New York Institute of Technology. During
that time I have spent my summers working in firms gaining
real world experience in the field of architecture.
At NYIT my focus was on design while becoming extremely proficient
in drawing and model making in order to accurately depict
the designs intent. I have gained experience in 2D and 3D
drawing using AutoCAD and 3D Studio. By using Photoshop as
well as other graphics programs and the Microsoft Office suite
I have been able to accurately represent design ideas for
presentation.
My studies have led to practical experience in the field through
several summer internships. For three summers I worked for
Schuman Lichtenstein Claman Efron Architects. There I was
involved in many aspects of the projects from talking to a
professor on how his science lab should be designed to doing
renderings used for presentation. Subsequently I worked for
AHSC Architects P.C., technically as an intern but I was a
full member of the team. From the working drawings to the
exterior elevations to 3d renderings I had a hand in every
drawing for the VA Brooklyn ER / Admitting area upgrade as
well as other projects.
